Honeysuckle Guinea Hen Cookout

Join us on Sunday August 13 for a cookout with Honeysuckle Provisions.  Celebrate the late-summer bounty of the farm and tour the grounds with chefs/artists/storytellers Cybille St. Aude-Tate and Omar Tate.

Last summer we ran a research project trialling the use of guinea hens as a form of organic pest control.  Guinea hens are voracious insect predators and will eat pests right off of your crops, controlling Potato beetles, slugs, and ticks without harmful pesticides.  We will be sharing the results of our experiment, tips on raising guinea hens, advice on running your own on-farm trials, and insight into finding grant funding for your projects.

Come see the farm, meet the good people from Honeysuckle and try some guinea hen!
